Personal Information You Provide Directly to Us
We collect personal information directly from you, including when you engage in any of the activities listed below:
- Place an order from our Sites;
- Make a purchase at one of our Stores;
- Return an item or make an exchange from a previous purchase;
- Inquire about our products or services;
- Contact us to request assistance, book an appointment, or provide feedback, including correspondence with customer service or our Store associates;
- Create an online account and profile;
- Subscribe to receive our emails or text messages;
- Enter a contest or sweepstakes;
- Participate in a marketing survey, promotion, or event; and
- Interact with us on social media, including by posting content and tagging us.
The types of personal information we collect directly from you may include: your contact information (such as name, postal address, telephone number, and email address); social media handle; date of birth, engagement date, and anniversary date; login credentials for the Sites; purchase and transaction information (including serial numbers for timepiece registration); jewelry size information; marketing preferences; age or age range; gender; and any other information you choose to provide.
If you make a purchase from us, we work with third-party payment processors and financing partners to collect and process your payment information.
The provision of your personal information is voluntary. However, if you do not provide us with your personal information, we may not be able to provide you with our goods and services, fulfill your requests, or respond to your inquiries.
Personal Information We Collect by Automated Means
When you access and use our Sites, shop in our Stores, or otherwise interact with us, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Transaction Information: When you make a purchase or return, we collect information about your transaction, including products or services you purchased, returned, or are considering purchasing from us, the purchase price, and the date and location of the transaction.
- Information Collected via Cookies, Web Beacons, and Other Tracking Technologies: We (and those that perform work for us) use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing behavior, purchase behavior, and other engagement with our Sites. For example, we may use pixel tags to recognize and alert you if you leave items in your shopping cart. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us improve our Sites and your experience, see which areas and features of our Sites are popular, and count visits. Web beacons (also known as “pixel tags” or “clear GIFs”) are electronic images that we use on our Sites and in our emails to help deliver cookies, count visits, and understand usage and campaign effectiveness. - Device and Usage Information: We collect information about how you access and use our Sites, including your device type, operating system type, browser type, domain, other system settings, and unique device identifiers, as well as the language your system uses and the country and time zone where your device is located. The web server logs may also record information such as the routes by which you access our Sites and the IP address of the device you use to connect to the Internet. They may also log information about your interaction with the Sites, such as which pages you visited, items placed in your shopping cart, your access times, and your use of any hyperlinks available within our Sites. We may also use session replay technology to capture information concerning your interaction with our Sites, including keystrokes, mouse movements, and form field entries.
- Audio, Video, and Image Recordings, Customer Support, and Chat Conversations: We collect video recordings and images in our Stores for security, fraud, and loss prevention purposes. We also capture audio and video recordings during audio and video conference calls with you. If you contact customer support through our chat feature, we may monitor and retain the chat conversation, including for training purposes. Please do not participate in audio or video conference calls or use the chat feature if you do not consent to our monitoring and retention of calls or chat conversations with you.
Personal Information We Collect from Other Sources
We may collect personal information about you from other sources. For example, we may collect personal information about you from other customers who provide information about you, such as to send you a gift. We may also collect personal information about you from data co-ops, mailing list providers, market research companies, fraud prevention providers, and shipping and fulfilment partners. This information includes your name, email address, phone number, postal address, household income, age, age range, and/or gender.
Personal Information We Derive
We may derive information or draw inferences about you based on the information we collect. For example, we may infer your approximate location based on your IP address or that you are interested in purchasing certain products based on your browsing behavior on our Sites.
Use Of Personal Information
We use the personal information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our Sites, products, and services. We also use personal information to:

- process your payment and fulfil your order;

- comply with our applicable legal and financial obligations.
Targeted Advertising And Analytics
We engage others to provide analytics services, serve advertisements, and perform related services across the web and in mobile apps. These entities use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, device identifiers, and other technologies to collect information about your use of the Sites and other websites and applications, including your IP address and other identifiers, web browser and mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages or in apps, links clicked, and conversion information. This information is used to deliver advertising targeted to your interests on the sites or mobile apps of other companies and to analyze and track data, including to understand how our ads perform, determine the popularity of certain content, and better understand your online activity. You can turn off cookie-based ad targeting by clicking on the “Your Privacy Choices” link found in the footer of our Sites and following the instructions on the screen. Your opt-out choice will be linked to your browser only; therefore, you will need to renew your opt-out choice if you visit our Sites from a new device or browser, or if you clear your browser’s cookies.
In addition to cookie-based ad targeting, we may disclose identifiers, such as your email address or phone number, to some of our advertising partners. These advertising partners translate that information into a unique identifier that can be used to show ads that are more relevant to you across the web and in mobile apps. Depending on where you reside, you may opt out of these disclosures by filling out our web form.
Some of the activities described in this section constitute “targeted advertising,” “sharing,” or “selling” under certain state privacy laws. See “Additional Information for Individuals in Certain U.S. States” for more information and the privacy rights available to residents of those states.

Disclosures Of Personal Information
We disclose personal information as described in the Targeted Advertising and Analytics section above and in the following scenarios:
- Vendors and Service Providers: We make personal information available to our vendors, service providers, and contractors who perform services on our behalf, such as companies that assist us with customer service, content personalization, analytics, advertising and marketing, surveys, payment processing, fraud prevention, shipping and delivery, gift card and merchandise credit processing and fulfilment, and web hosting.
- Corporate Affiliates: We disclose certain personal information to our corporate affiliates for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
- For Marketing Purposes: We disclose personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes and to expand the reach and effectiveness of our own marketing campaigns. If you prefer to opt out of having your information disclosed in this way, see the “Opting Out of Disclosures for Third-Party Direct Marketing” section below.
- Law Enforcement Authorities and Individuals Involved in Legal Proceedings: We disclose personal information in response to a request for information if we believe that disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law, regulation, or legal process, including lawful requests by public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
- To Protect the Rights of David Yurman and Others: We disclose personal information if we believe that your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements, terms of use, or policies, if we believe that you have violated the law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of David Yurman, our users, the public, or others.
- Corporate Transactions: We disclose or transfer personal information in the event of, or during negotiations of, any purchase, sale, lease, merger, amalgamation, or transfer of all or a portion of our business or assets, including in the event of any acquisition, reorganization, dissolution, securitization, financing, or liquidation.
- Professional Advisors: We disclose personal information to our legal, financial, insurance, and other advisors in connection with the kinds of corporate transactions described above or in connection with the management of David Yurman’s business or operations.
- With Your Consent or at Your Direction: We disclose personal information when we have your consent or you intentionally direct us to do so. For example, if you tag us on social media, we may seek your permission to repost your content, which may include your username and image, along with the content of your original post.
We also disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. David Yurman processes, maintains, and uses this information only in a de-identified fashion and will not attempt to re-identify such information, except as permitted by law.
Data Retention
Data Retention in General
Our retention periods for personal information are based on business needs and legal requirements. We retain personal information for as long as is necessary for the processing purpose(s) for which we originally collected it and for other legal and business purposes described in this Privacy Policy. For example, we may retain certain transaction details and correspondence until the time limit for claims arising from the transaction has expired. In addition, we retain your email address and information about your marketing preferences to ensure that we can honor those preferences.
Retention Policy for the Virtual Try-On Tool
This section describes the retention schedule and guidelines for permanently destroying any scans of hand or face geometry (“Scan Data”) produced as a result of your use of the David Yurman-branded virtual try-on tool accessible to users in some areas through our Sites (the “Virtual Try-On Tool”).
The Virtual Try-On Tool is operated by yRuler Inc., also known as Tangiblee. If you use the Virtual Try-On Tool, Tangiblee and its subcontractors may collect and process photos of you (including images of your face or hand), which may produce Scan Data. Any collected photos and Scan Data are used only for the purpose of creating and displaying virtual images of you wearing David Yurman products (including on your face or hand) for up to 30 days. Any collection or processing of Scan Data is only done with your written consent.
All photos, any Scan Data, and virtual images of you wearing David Yurman products are collected, handled, and stored only by Tangiblee and its subcontractors, not David Yurman. We never receive or have access to any of these photos, Scan Data, or virtual images. Under Tangiblee’s agreement with us, Tangiblee and its subcontractors will retain any photos, any Scan Data, and virtual images of you for no more than 30 days, unless otherwise required by law or qualifying legal process to retain the data for a longer period (the “Retention Period”). At the conclusion of the Retention Period, Tangiblee and its subcontractors will permanently destroy your photos, Scan Data, and virtual images of you.
Tangiblee operates virtual try-on tools for some of its other business customers as well (i.e., companies other than David Yurman). Although Tangiblee and its subcontractors may retain and handle photos, Scan Data, and virtual images collected for some of those other businesses in additional ways or for longer periods of time, this section of our Privacy Policy is accurate regarding Tangiblee’s handling of such materials collected and created in connection with our Sites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to Tangiblee’s services to other businesses.
Your Privacy Choices
Updating Your Account Information
You can review and modify certain account information at any time by logging into your online account. You can also update your account information by contacting Customer Care at

Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies
As described above, David Yurman uses cookies and similar tracking technologies for various purposes, including to analyze visits to our Sites and deliver targeted advertising on the websites or mobile apps of other companies. You can turn off cookie-based ad targeting by clicking on the “Your Privacy Choices” link found in the footer of our Sites and following the instructions on the screen. In addition, you can usually adjust your browser settings to remove or reject all or some browser cookies. Please note that removing or rejecting cookies could affect some of the functionality of our Sites.
Opting Out of Marketing Communications
You may opt out of receiving promotional emails or text messages from David Yurman by following the instructions in those communications or by clicking the unsubscribe link provided at the bottom of any David Yurman promotional email. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as those about your account or orders.
Opting Out of Marketing Databases
You have the option to prevent disclosure of your information in
connection with a marketing database. Accordingly, you may object at
any time free of charge to the use of your personal information in
connection with a marketing database or withdraw any consent you
previously provided to us and we will apply your preferences going
forward. This will not affect the lawfulness of our use of your
information based on your consent before its withdrawal.
If you do not wish for your personal information to be used in
connection with a marketing database for direct marketing purposes,
or, where applicable, you wish to withdraw any consent you previously
provided to us, you may ask us to opt out of this use by contacting us
as described in the How to Contact Us section below.
Data Transfers
David Yurman is based in the United States and we and our service providers process and store personal information in the United States and other countries. Where required by law, we provide adequate protection for the transfer of personal data in accordance with those laws and implement appropriate safeguards in relation to those data transfers. Joint Collection Of Information For Shipments Outside The United States
If you are making a purchase on our Sites that will be shipped
outside of the United States, such purchase is made through a separate
company, Global-e, rather than David Yurman. When you purchase through
Global-e, the information you provide and other transaction
information is received by both Global-e and David Yurman (except for
payment information, which is processed exclusively by Global-e or its
payment processors). David Yurman will handle the information it
receives in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Global-e and its
payment processor will handle the information they receive in
accordance with Global-e’s (or the payment processor’s)

Data Privacy Framework
David Yurman Enterprises LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (we refer to these frameworks collectively as the “Data Privacy Framework”) issued by the U.S. Department of Commerce and approved by the European Commission, UK Information Commissioner’s Office, and the Swiss Data Federal Data Protection Commission. David Yurman commits to comply with the Data Privacy Framework Principles with respect to personal information we receive from individuals in the EU, UK, and Switzerland.
If there is any conflict between the terms in this Privacy Policy and the Data Privacy Framework Principles, the Data Privacy Framework Principles shall govern. Other Details About Our Information Practices

- We do not knowingly collect, sell, or share personal information about consumers under the age of 18.
- We generally do not collect information that is considered “sensitive” under State Privacy Laws. Access, Correction, and Deletion Rights

Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
Appeals
If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by emailing us at care@davidyurman.com. If you have concerns about the result of an appeal, you may contact the attorney general in the state where you reside.
Authorized Agents
If you reside in California, you may also designate an authorized agent to make an access, correction, or deletion request on your behalf. We may ask authorized agents to provide us with written proof of their authority to make a request, such as a valid power of attorney or proof that they have provided signed permission for the consumer who is the subject of the request). In some cases, we may be required to contact the individual who is the subject of the request to verify his or her own identity or confirm the authorized agent has permission to submit the request.

We provide rewards, exclusive offers, and other benefits to customers who participate in certain promotional campaigns. These offerings may constitute “financial incentives” under State Privacy Laws. If you decide to participate in a financial incentive, we collect relevant personal information from you, such as identifiers (like your email address, birthday, and anniversary). You can opt into a financial incentive by following the sign-up or participation instructions we provide. You can opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the applicable program’s terms and conditions, promotional emails, or by emailing us at care@davidyurman.com. In some cases, we may provide additional terms and conditions for a financial incentive, which we will provide to you when you sign up. Shine the Light Law - California Residents Only
California’s “Shine the Light” law requires certain businesses to respond to requests from California customers who ask about the business’s practices related to disclosing personal information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes.
